aboutTThe last piece of the puzzle in a renovation project, the brief for this large garden in Edinburgh New Town was to transform it into a family space and something that really connects with the landscape and views across Edinburgh beyond the garden.
The key principles of this project were reuse and sustainability and repurposing as much of the material uncovered by the building renovation as possible. Reclaimed sandstone flags and bricks were reused, creating paths and wide steps to rework the different levels and create a journey through the garden. A number of new trees connect the space back to the landscape beyond and large pockets of planting create a cottage garden look and feel.
