Getting Tulip Ready for Spring

A perfect activity for right now is getting those tulips planted. And a tulip lasagne in a pot will look so gorgeous in the spring, you'll be glad you put in the planning and hard graft now!

Very simply, a tulip lasagne is a pot with layers of tulips planted in it. You can also add other bulbs to the pot like grape hyacinths, narcissus, or plants to the top, like wallflowers.

In this quick and easy video, I plant:

  • 1st layer - Early Double Margarita. Double flowers so will be gorgeous and peony like

  • 2nd layer - Tulip Passionale. Deep pink slightly more closed flowers

  • 3rd layer - a variety of other pink tulips that I got a mixed box as a bit of an experiment

  • 4th layer - Muscari or Grape Hyacinths. Lovely little purple spires about 15cm tall which will flower with the early tulips 🀞🏼🀞🏼
